"I ordered the service and must say that I'm overwhelmed…
I was a Recruiter, HR rep and Recruiting Consultant for many years before getting laid off in 2001. I got into the mortgage business hoping at some point to find the right spot back in my profession, but haven't been able to generate enough interviews to do so. It's been very disheartening. When I was recruiting, I can remember telling people that faxing a resume all over town was a bad idea. Boy was I WRONG! With the economy coming back, hiring taking off, and recruiting departments well understaffed, this is the right tool at the right time for those who want to get noticed!
I paid for 1960 resume faxes, and in the first week I had well over 60 responses. Many of them were emails, calls or company form rejection letters or postcards, but after 3 years of searching in the black hole of the job boards, it was a relief to get even those!
I also had phone calls from 2 employers with whom I had applied on their job site, but couldn't seem to get through for jobs that looked perfectly suited for me.
I got 9 interviews in two weeks, and am going back for seconds on 3 of them. I feel such a relief to have activity for positions that will pay me what I'm worth, to do things I'm capable of doing. Best of all, I know that very soon mortgages will be a nice little side business for me and my wife, but that I won't have to play the 100% commission game any more, or commit to learning and executing skills (sales) that I can perform, but am not hard-wired for.
